Officially, Ram Charan's action-thriller 'Yevadu' Malayalam version 'Bhaiyya' became the highest grossing Telugu film at Kerala Box Office. The film which was released on January 31st in 95-odd screens opened with packed houses in most number of theatres and it collected a share of over Rs 2 crore by the end of first two weeks run.
As per the sources, 'Bhaiyya' satellite rights have been sold out for a whooping Rs 65 lakhs to Mazhavil Manorama. This figure is never heard for a Telugu film dubbed in Malayalam. Hence, Cherry created an all time record.
Factors which helped 'Bhaiyya' to become a superhit are - Allu Arjun's cameo, Promoting the film as Bunny-Charan multi-starrer, screenplay and other commercial elements.
'Yevadu' collected a Worldwide share of Rs 47.5 crore and the film have chances to enter the Rs 50 crore club if added the revenue generated through Malayalam version.
