Nayantara Wants Story Change

Nayantara Wants Story Change

It’s a norm in the industry to write stories to suit the requirements of the heroes. It’s quite rare to do the same for the heroines. But Nayantara’s case is one such exception to the rule. After getting back to back hits in Raja Rani and Arambham in Tamil, Nayantara has once again become busy. It’s as if she is having a second innings. Presently, she is acting in the Telugu remake of the Bollywood hit Kahani. The role that was reprised by Vidya Balan in Hindi is being played by Nayantara in Telugu. In the original story, Vidya Balan played the part of a full-term pregnant. When Shekhar Kammula narrated the script to Nayantara, apparently, she put her foot down and told him that she will not play pregnant. So, Shekhar made the necessary changes not wanting to let go of her. Where Vidya Balan plays a pregnant searching for her missing husband, Nayantara will play a newly wed wife whose husband goes missing. However, Shekhar Kammula says the changes were necessary as the Hindi film released all over India and was widely watched. So, he says a complete remake wouldn’t have attracted the right audience. The changes in the script were necessary, he clarifies.
